Where did the summer go? It seems as if we only had about 4 weeks of summer. We've gone from that to looking at Christmas decorations! Somehow we have to squeeze Halloween and Thanksgiving in there! Time is truly flying.
We are in the throes of getting ready for a yard sale this coming Saturday. We have 3 days left and I feel like I need another six weeks! Oh well, we'll go with whatever we dig up between now and then.
Allison's volleyball games are over for this season. South (her team) played Memorial in a tournament game on Monday night. Memorial won, but the score was really close. They only beat by 2 points in the tie-breaker game. We were really proud of Allison!
I went to Sams this afternoon and on my way back I drove by the new Starbucks. There was a small white car parked behind the building with a little white dog in it. The windows were just barely rolled down and the dog seemed to have its nose right up to the top of the window. I drove on by, but looking at the temperature in my van (85 degrees), I knew it had to be way hotter in that car. I got almost home and it bothered me so much that I turned around and drove back to Starbucks--I decided if that little dog was still there, I was going to report it. As I drove back, there was a man who was getting the dog out and was walking toward one of the motels nearby. I was relieved to know that little dog would be ok. (also glad I didn't have to say anything).
Well, enough of all that. The following page was one I did today. I found these pictures and had to laugh when I saw some of them. Do we know how to have fun or what!
I also ran across this photo of Checker's mother. I'm so glad Checker didn't end up as large as her mom!

We're in a severe thunderstorm watch tonight until 10 PM so we may get some rain. That would be welcome!
