Silver Dollar City Weekend

On Saturday, September 27, 2008, we drove to Silver Dollar City. Kurt had an old friend, Hi Huffman, from Seattle, visiting for a few days. They last saw each other in 1958. We had a beautiful day for the trip and had a lot of fun.

The following picture is of Mark Edwards, Hi, and Kurt. Mark is the craftsman who works for Silver Dollar City. He hewed the logs for Jack's log church, plus many more structures over the years.

This picture was taken of Kurt with the painting of Jack's with Kurt in his Indian garb. The picture was taken just outside the entrance to Jack's store at Silver Dollar City.

Jack brought Violet Henson down to his shop so she could fiddle with Nancy and Kurt. Violet is 92 years old and is still a really spray lady. She fiddled a while then got up and was singing and clogging at the same time!

Just as this picture was about to be snapped, Violet ran over and scrunched down and got it the picture!

Until later . . .
