I was reminded by a very dear friend that I had not updated this blog in quite a while. I'll have to admit that since I have joined Facebook, I've somewhat neglected this area. So this is for all of you who follow our little family in this blog.
As you can see we are spending a lot of time with Kurt's new "toy." We usually try to ride just about every day, weather permitting. We have not made any long trips, but have ventured out to some of the small towns around Joplin, such as Seneca, Neosho, Carthage, and even to Galena, KS. (Pam reminded me when I called her from Galena, that we hadn't received her permission to go out of state!) We ride "Harley" to church on Sunday nights so we can even get in a short ride on Sundays!
JoJo (seen below) is our youngest pup. She is a 3 year old Silkie and absolutely loves to ride with us. I have a little black canvas bag that straps to me like a kangaroo pouch. It has a little short leash (about 6 inches long) that snaps to her collar in case she would decide to jump out. However, she just sits there, relaxed and seems to enjoy the ride. She gets so excited when we ask her if she wants to go riding--turning in circles until we pick her up to go. You know--you get the picture, she's not spoiled or anything!
Steve called on Sunday afternoon to let us know he had played the piano for Sunday morning service at the church he attends. We were so thrilled at this news! He has started physical therapy and we are confident that his arm will be good as new in the near future. God is good!!!
I will try to be better at posting here in the future. So until later . . .
Shirley
