The Great Hunters!

This was the highlight of our day today! This groundhog who lives under our gazebo on the back part of our property, decided to venture into our backyard. Our dogs saw it so we let them out to see what they would do. Well . . . they had the time of their lives . . . chased the critter up this tree and he remained there for quite some time. He finally decided to make a run for it, but the privacy fence was too tall for him to escape. He turned and ran across the length of the yard with both dogs in hot pursuit. They caught up with him about half way across so he turned and challenged the dogs! I believe they were stunned that he would turn like that, so they kept their distance until he began running again. He finally ran into a honeysuckle hedge row. We couldn’t get the dogs to leave so Kurt finally had to pick them both up and bring them inside. We’re assuming the groundhog finally made his way back to his home under the gazebo.
