Kurt's Surgery

Kurt's shoulder surgery was done on Tuesday morning, July 1st. He has done great with it. The rotator cuff was not torn in two, but he had a bone spur that was shredding the cuff. The doctor was able to scrape the bone spur away and clean everything up. He was sent home with a drain and a pain pump in place. His first night was pretty miserable, but since then has continued to improve daily. He has even been fiddling some!!! He started physical therapy the next day after surgery and has 5 more weeks of that. Guess you just can't keep a good man down!

I wanted to share this photo I took of an arrangement made from my hydranga bush that is in the front yard. These flowers are huge. They start out white and then gradually turn green. They will stay that way until fall and then they dry on the stem. This bush has spread to completely fill in one end of the flower bed on the west end of the front of the house. This fall I plan to try to transplant some of it to the beds in the back.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!

Until later,
Shirley
