Steve came in for a short visit on Thursday, August 21st. We picked him up at the airport in Tulsa and he went to Claremore with us (where Kurt plays with a band once a month). Pam also went with us. Kurt's cousin, Judy, also met us there. We had a great time and it was so good to have both the kids with us! This happens rarely!
We packed a lot in to this short visit. One of the things we did was to go to Wildcat Park which is only about a mile from our house. We had not been there in years and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. It has been made into a wildlife/bird sanctuary. It runs along Shoal Creek and is absolutely beautiful. There are paved walking paths everywhere that run along the creek and there are beautiful rock formations and caves on the other side.
As you can see these pictures are not in order. The following picture was taken at the airport just after Steve arrived.
We ate lunch at the Olive Garden where Lauren is a server. She took really great care of us and is doing a great job there.
Marshal Hinds (our "almost" son) was with us and took this picture of the family. All it needed was Lauren!
All too soon we had to take Steve back to Tulsa. He has promised to come home more often in the future!
