I left around 7:30 AM Saturday morning to go with Pam and the girls to Tulsa. Lauren had a hair appointment so we decided to just make a day of it--shopping and just doing whatever we decided we wanted to do. Afteer Lauren's appointment, we went to the mall and shopped at Dillard's. I love that store! Just wish Joplin had one! Around 12:30 noon, Allison was "starving" so we put our shopping on hold and ate lunch at a "Cheesecake Factory" there in front of the mall. This was my first time to eat there. The inside of the restaurant was beautifully decorated, but the food wasn't all that great. Pam and I shared a sandwich and we still each had about half of it left. We did have to top our meal off with a piece of cheesecake. We bought one piece and the four of us split it and still had a lot left to take home. Allison told me today that she had finished it off after she got back to Joplin.
Hurricane Ike had reached the area before we left for home and we drove home in rain all the way to Joplin. (Our rain gauge showed 3" after the rain quit.)
Lauren was finished and ready to hit the mall!
We entertained ourselves while we waited on Lauren by taking pictures! Allison was running the camera! She is so funny!
