On the 29th of November, we went to Silver Dollar City with Jack and Nancy Dawson. Kurt dressed in his Indian attire to promote Jack's panting of Highest Praise. We had a great time and throughout the afternoon and evening Nancy and Kurt would entertain the customers in Jack's shop with a little fiddle music.
The crazy guy in the middle came into the shop dressed as a woman! He was so funny! I don't remember his name but he has been at Silver Dollar City for many years. He used to play the part of the undertaker at the city. This is Jack on the right.

The main Christmas tree was especially beautiful this year. This tree is set to music as it changes different colors. There is an excellent video on You Tube that shows a lot of the lights there. It's about 8 mnutes long but well worth watching. It can be found here:

We have been going non-stop since Thanksgiving. However, we came to a rather abrupt halt this week. Last Sunday, this terrible bug that has been going around made its way to our house. I had it first and then on Monday evening, it hit Kurt. He was soooo sick! By Thursday morning it was apparent that he wasn't going to get better on his own, so our doctor advised him to go to the emergency room. We were there about 1:30 in the afternoon and finally by about 5:30 they started the IVs because Kurt was so dehydrated. This caused his blood pressure to drop dramatically. While he was at home he fell three different times trying to make it to the bathroom. He has some bruises but nothing major. He was admitted to the hospital from the ER and after two days of pumping him full of liquids, he's almost back to normal. What a week!!!
Until next time!
