On Thursday afternoon, Kurt and I along with another couple, our friends, Paul and Charlene Harris, drove to Tulsa. We went early so Kurt could visit his cousin, Marlene, who was recovering from surgery. We had a really nice visit with her. We then left and drove back to Claremore for the monthly dinner and music at the Elks Club. Kurt enjoys playing there so much and there is a really nice bunch of folks there. I believe Paul and Charlene also enjoyed it, and we're hoping they'll go with us whenever we go there.
Lauren and Allison came over this afternoon and helped me pass our fliers on our street, inviting folks to our Easter Sunday services at Park Plaza Christian Church. They are such sweethearts and were quite bold about doing this. After we finished that, we took a bouquet of Easter lillies to put on Eldon Higginbotham's grave. We were afraid they would close the gates to the cemetery before we could get there, but we made it just in time. We stopped at McDonald's on the way back and treated ourselves to a McDonald's pie!
The following picture is one from Allison's last volleyball tournament in Springfield. Her last tournament is tomorrow and it's her last tournament in this series. We're glad this one will be here in Joplin at the high school.
Till next time,
Shirley
